At Jazz Hands Youth Theatre, every child has a place to belong, grow, and shine! Our programs bring young performers ages 5–18 together to experience the excitement and joy of musical theatre while building confidence, creativity, friendships, and lifelong memories. Through singing, dancing, acting, and fully staged productions, students discover new talents, challenge themselves, and become part of a supportive theatre family. Whether stepping onstage for the very first time or returning for another show, every performer is valued and celebrated. At Jazz Hands, we don’t just create great theatre—we create a community where kids can be themselves and families feel at home.
The Jazz Hands Youth Theatre Musical Theatre Performance Class gives students the complete experience of bringing a musical to life! Each session begins with auditions on the very first day, followed by casting and rehearsals where students learn music, choreography, blocking, acting, and character development.
Throughout the program, students work with our teaching artists to develop performance skills, confidence, teamwork, and stage presence while rehearsing a complete musical. Every student is an important part of the production and is encouraged to grow as both an individual performer and ensemble member.
The session culminates in a fully produced musical at the Glen Cove Performing Arts Center, complete with costumes, scenery, professional lighting and sound, and a live audience. From audition to final curtain call, students experience the excitement, hard work, friendships, and magic of putting on a show!
